Introduction to Bangalayan Village, Hormozgan Province
Bangalayan, an unfamiliar village in the economic capital of Iran, holds pristine tourism potential and is known for its high-quality orchard products. Bandar Abbas is considered one of the most beautiful regions of Hormozgan Province and is known locally by its old name Bangalo. The village of Bangalayan is located 120 kilometers north of Bandar Abbas, in the Siyahu Rural District of the Central District, situated between the villages of Mashari, Selard, and Dokooh. Its agricultural produce and high-quality citrus fruits—including tangerines, oranges, mangoes, and sweet lemons—are widely known and respected. Bangalayan lies 15 kilometers from Siyahu and is one of the most scenic villages in the region. The permanent Homag (or Jamas) River, after originating from the village of Homag-e Paeen, flows through the villages of Sikhuran, Dargiran, and Mashari before reaching Bangalayan. After irrigating the village’s abundant orchards, it continues its course toward the village of Mashkar. The village of Bangalayan boasts numerous natural, cultural, and ecotourism attractions. The presence of a pilgrimage site attributed to Hazrat Abolfazl (AS) adds a special spiritual atmosphere to the village and enriches the local ecotourism experience. Natural beauty, dense orchards, and the flowing Jamas River create a unique landscape in this mountainous village. Additionally, the stone-paved streets, made with natural stones, further enhance the charm and appeal of Bangalayan.
